Nearly 20 cabins were relocated and several were burned in 2001 and 2002 just before lands near Bog Lake and Clear Pond were transferred to The Nature Conservancy (and later to New York State). The old lodge which stood on the shores of Bog Lake for many decades was dismantled and moved off the property by a third party (buyer). The pictures below show some of the cabins being burning in 2002, some new cabin construction, and the remains of the old lodge being trucked away.  Please move your curser over the photos to see a description of the images.

Bob B's going up in smoke.  The demise of Mike and Gloria's camp; do we laugh or cry?  View of deck, dining, and living room, and 2 bedrooms after the walls were removed.

Joe V's cabin goes up in smoke, snow and all.   One of the last moonsets over parts of the old lodge and boathouse.   The boathouse: sole survivor (for a few weeks) near the old lodge.

The old lodge gets ready to leave Robinwood forever: it's better than being burned.  Debris pile at the old lodge after the snow left and before final clean-up.  Boathouse and lodge point after the lodge was dismantled.

Lonely fireplaces (bedroom 1 - facing us and living room - facing away) just before their fall.
